Italian Skin Care, is it Worth the Price?

After trying several different skincare products in all expense brackets I have decided upon one simple rule of thumb. Just because a product is expensive does not mean it is going to work any better for you than a store bought brand. This may seem like common knowledge but I just assumed that a $90 product would do more miraculous work than something I bought for $4.99. I recently tried the beauty "miracle" Vagheggi. This is a very high end line imported direct from Italy and sold only in professional salons and spas. As a matter of fact, there is only one distributor of Vagheggi that supplies all the products available in the US. The entire collection of Vagheggi products is broken down into smaller lines. There is a Purity line, Rehydra, Acid, Delay, Rinnovare and DL lift line. There are also additional products, like a Vitamin C cream and fluid, that can be used in cooperation with any of the other Vagheggi products. While I did not have the chance to test out the Delay, Rinnovare or DL Lift lines, I have heard that the results achieved from these products is remarkable. Many clients swear by them and promise you will never receive results like these products offer, anywhere else. These three lines are aimed more for mature skin or those with past skin problems that need repair. There are also products in these lines, like a Lifting Contour Gel, that are to be applied to help reduce and fade the appearance of lines and wrinkles around the eyes and lip line. However, without having tested them myself, and with no real need to do so at this time in my life, I cannot offer you my own opinion and will leave you to test them for yourself. I did have the luxury of using the Rehydra line, Acid line and, briefly, the Purity line. While I must admit that the products have a number of very nice qualities to them, there were downfalls as well. Like the price. The average price for any product in these lines was around $30-$35 a piece. The prices of the other three lines are on average between $55-$70 a piece. Worth the price if you know that the products will in fact dramatically help the condition of your skin. So my intention is, of course, not to put Vagheggi down, but merely tell you my results and personal experience so that you may decide for yourself if it is worth the investment. The Rehydra line, as I'm sure you already guessed, is made to put moisture back in the skin. Especially helpful in the winter. The products in this particular line are very pleasant smelling and simple to use. In my experience, you tend to see the results fastest in this line as well. If your main concern is needing moisture then this is probably the best you can get. Vagheggi's Acid line was my personal favorite. This would be the product choice of someone with combination skin that gets both oily and patches of dryness. The smells are a bit harsher as there is in fact an acid at work. Of the three lines I tested, this would have to be the one that suited my skin type best and gave the most promising results. After about two weeks I noticed a dramatic decrease in breakout areas. There was also a definite improvement in the overall appearance of my skin. These products are focused on stabilizing the pH balance so they are best suited for most skin types. As far as the Purity products, I was not impressed. However, let me also say that I really had no need to be using them so the benefits they offered were probably wasted on me. This line of Vagheggi is for skin that has oil issues. I did see some improvement in my tone but that was really it. The oily areas I had were cleared up after just a few days but left the rest of my face more dry than anything else. Allow me to reiterate the fact that I only tested these products briefly. I'm sure their benefits would be more obvious had I continued their use for a month or more. While I do think that the Vagheggi products themselves are very nice and have many benefits, as long as you are using the correct line for your skin type, there were definitely other ways to conserve money. The lines I tested worked exactly as the box said they would. If you have acne, severe dehydration, rosacea or other skin care problems this could be a very helpful line to invest in. As for everyone else looking for a good skin care regimen that won't break the bank, look into Clean n' Clear.

I was so surprised to read this! I'm a client who has been converted and a firm believer in the Vagheggi Skincare Line. I've paid up to $400 for a day cream, used the Eminence regime and liked the results... but once I began using Vagheggi almost 2 years ago, I can't imagine every using anything else again! I started out using Rehydra because my skin was always so dry, but after using Vagheggi for a while my skin "normalized" and I was able to move to the PH balancing acid line. The beauty of Vagheggi skincare is that now that I have fabulous skin, I'm able to mix and match from some of the different lines. I used the vitamin C fluid, cream and some of the DL (anti aging) products which are my absolute favorite! I've recommended my friends and relatives to use Vagheggi too, and I've actually gotten taken out to lunch and received gifts from friends because they're so pleased with the results they've gotten.

The only I can think is that the author; Tabitha either wasn't using the products properly or still using some other products along with the Vagheggi.

Sure, some of the products are pricey, but how much have I wasted on products I end up not using? My cleanser lasts me about 5 -6 months using it 2x per day, toner about 4 months, cream about 4-5 months... besides the fact that even strangers comment on my skin, and are surprised that I have a 25 year old... I FEEL GREAT!

I'm a beautician and used to work in italy with vagheggi. My mother has a beauty center there and she also uses this line. I've been living in the US for ten years and make her send me the products. Vagheggi is a great line!! but for the love of god don't pay the $400... someone is stealing from you!!!
